Twenty minutes from the terminal to Aldea Zama, forty to the beach. Federally plated vehicles and chauffeurs licensed to meet you inside TQO.
Tulum International Airport, Felipe Carrillo Puerto (TQO), changed the way people arrive to the Riviera Maya. Instead of a two hour drive down Highway 307 from Cancun, you are in Aldea Zama in about twenty five minutes and at the beach hotel zone in forty.
What has not caught up is ground transportation. TQO is surrounded by jungle with almost nothing around it, taxi supply is thin and pricing at the curb is unpredictable, especially at night. Booking a private transfer before you fly is not a luxury here, it is the practical decision.
Your chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall with a name sign. Our federal SICT permits, tourist transport plates and airport zone licenses are what make that possible. Informal drivers cannot enter the terminal, which is why they ask you to walk out and find them.
The terminal is compact, so from the moment you collect your luggage you are usually on the road in under ten minutes.
If your hotel is in Tulum, TQO is almost always the better choice. You save close to ninety minutes each way and the arrival is calmer. Cancun still has more flight frequency and more direct routes from North America and Europe, so many travelers fly into CUN and out of TQO, or the reverse.
We serve both. If you land at Cancun and stay in Tulum, see our dedicated Cancun airport to Tulum page for that route.
Tulum is spread out. The beach road, the town, the cenotes, Coba and the beach clubs are all in different directions, and getting a ride back at 11pm on a Saturday is its own adventure. Our on demand service keeps the same vehicle and chauffeur with you by the hour or by the day, so dinner in the hotel zone, a cenote in the morning and a beach club in the afternoon are one arrangement instead of three.
Every vehicle carries federal plates, passenger insurance and a chauffeur licensed for the airport zone.

From $70 USD per vehicle to Tulum town and Aldea Zama, and from $90 USD per vehicle to the beach hotel zone, in our Economy tier. Luxury and Premium vehicles are priced higher and all rates are per vehicle rather than per person.
The drive from TQO to the Tulum beach hotel zone takes 35 to 45 minutes depending on where your hotel sits along the beach road. Tulum town and Aldea Zama are closer, about 25 minutes.
Public options are limited and unpredictable after dark, which is why we recommend booking in advance. Ride Luxe operates 24 hours and your chauffeur is inside the terminal whatever time you land.
If you are staying in Tulum, TQO saves roughly 90 minutes of driving each way. Cancun offers more flight frequency and more direct international routes. Many travelers arrive at one and depart from the other, and we cover both.
Yes. Our on demand service keeps the same vehicle and chauffeur with you by the hour or for a full day, which works well for cenotes, Coba, beach clubs and dinner in the hotel zone.
