Getting to Playa del Carmen from Cancun airport
Playa del Carmen sits 45 to 55 minutes south of Cancun International Airport on Highway 307. It is the most requested transfer on the Riviera Maya and also the one where travelers most often end up on a shared shuttle that stops at four resorts before reaching theirs.

Catching the Cozumel ferry
If Cozumel is your final destination, plan the connection rather than improvising it. The ferry terminal is in the centre of Playa del Carmen and departures run roughly every hour. Allow at least three hours between landing at Cancun and the ferry you intend to take: immigration and baggage at CUN can take an hour on their own, and the drive is another hour. We time the pickup around your ferry, not just your flight.

Families
